Health Her Way Scholarship
The Health Her Way Scholarship was established to help African American women from Memphis, TN in their advancement to the healthcare field. The representation of women in the healthcare field, especially African American, is vital. Studies show the lack of representation of African American women in the health care field in comparison to other races. The Health Her Way Scholarship is intended to help increase the number of African American women on their journey to making a difference in the healthcare field. Memphis, TN has a special place in Dr. Briana Malone's heart because it is where she was born and raised. She would like to continue to help increase the number of doctors, nurses, physical therapists, public health masters, radiologists, etc. from Memphis, TN that are making a difference in the lives of people across the world.
Two recipients will receive a $1500 scholarship to help with their journey into the healthcare field.
Two Randomly selected applicants will receive a free headshot session with Antoine Lever.
Requirements:
500-1000 word Essay or a creative way to express why healthcare is important to you and why you chose your field.
3.5 GPA (must provide unofficial transcript).
Recommendation Letter.
African American woman with healthcare major in the upcoming college semester (undergrad or post grad).
